Watch selections posted

2007 Watch selections are now posted on the south wall of the roll call room. That's the wall directly across the room from the mailboxes, if you aren't good with directions.

There were plenty of surprises, and plenty of complaints, as is the OEMC way. All 5 watches will see plenty of new faces at the beginning of the year, as is the OEMC way.

We have a pretty good idea about which new faces are going to cause the most new frowns from coworkers. But put your frowns down for a minute, and take heed. Don't say we never tried to help.

Furlough selection forms are due on 08Dec06. Furlough picks will take place in the roll call room on 15Dec06.

5th Watch furlough picks will be held at 0400 hours.
1st Watch furlough picks will be held at 0600 hours.
4th Watch furlough picks will be held at 0900 hours.
3rd Watch furlough picks will be held at 1100 hours.
2nd Watch furlough picks will be held at 1400 hours.

Be there. We cannot stress this enough. Be present for the furlough picks. Bright and early. The process will not pause 15 minutes for your precious arrival. You may be surprised by what furlough you can get if you're present to see what's still available when you're called. If you're not there by the time your name is called, then you're stuck with what you get.

Furlough picks will be posted on 18Dec06. That is all.

Who's the moron who did the watch selections? Why did it have to be such a covert operation that none of our immediate bosses could sit in or the union reps???
Why are kids with no time on the job being forced to go from 3w to 1st, while on 1st watch folks who bid for it got ousted to 2nd watch and 2w has mgt picks that don't want to leave 2w bumped to 3w ?? Is it just a ploy to make life as miserable and difficult for the life line of that building?? Do these bosses know they wouldn't have the cush gig they got going if it wasn't for the blue shirts handling their 10000 calls a tour and dispatching without resources to give those calls too? So much for moral another year. Just when we think we have a fresh breath in that stanky, dark creepy building, the dream is shot to hell.
While I'm on my soapbox IBEW can kiss my ass too! Raise our dues!?!
Has crack gone up that much lately in price!? $16000.00 a month and no lawyers to offer us?! Disgusted throughly with the whole lot of them. We are getting f%%ked in all orifices.

I got what I wanted, but then maybe I read the directions and completed the bid slip correctly, unlike others apparently. Oh well, sucks to be you! And before you have a chance to write a response, fuck you too.

Amen. Now let's see how many of the disappointed/displaced people will screw up their watch selection forms , not show up for the selections, then whine, cry , piss a bitch the whole year long!

1006 You don't get to "show up" for selections for watches. That is only for furlough picks. So either you're a troll or from some other organization.

520 Obviously you must be the moron who did the watch selections.
Why else would you tell me to fuck off?
