Seven Seven Three, Two-Oh-Two...

Maybe if the city had called Luna (or Empire) the carpet on the Mezzanine level wouldn't have taken two weeks to install. We've seen whole houses come along farther in two weeks than the half-level's worth of carpet has.

But for everyone who's asked and complained aloud, access to the Mezzanine should be restored by the end of this week. Two weeks - that's a shorter time than it's taken them to fix the westernmost elevator before.

So now, when are they going to replace, or at least clean, that nasty ass carpet on the Operations Floor? And they could clean out the consoles while they're at it, seems they skipped over that part the last time they installed new carpet. How many years ago was that? Three? Four?

I had heard through that infamous grapevine that the reason it was taking so long to finish the carpeting job on the mezzanine level was because there was some sort of problem with the thresholds that were ordered to be installed in the doorways. This caused the work stoppage and forced the operations floor peons to conduct roll call in the atrium. Did anyone notice how the issue was finally resloved (after 2 plus weeks)? DUCT TAPE!!! How classy looking is that??

Hey hey! there there now ! Don't be making fun of the duct tape thresholds! That is the classiest thing I've seen in 10 yrs in that building! Nothing beats that psuedo shiny silver as you walk into the roll call room. Thousands of dollars worth of executive thought was put behind that decision. Now if only manangement could find another use for the duct tape.

Heard carpeting choice was changed by management. Put job behind by weeks. The threshholds had to be duct taped so we peons wouldn't trip, fall and sue. The 4th floor may look dumb, but they apparently know the potential of a few of our bretheren.
