Hey, there is a post in the CO book that reads yet another dispatcher is being detailed off the floor into an administrative position. Man, we don't have enough dispatchers to being with, yet they keep taking them away to do other things. Strange. It's going to be a rough summer.
well...her mother is a dispatcher off the floor working for JA so why not

she is going to be doing a job that has traditionally been done by PCOI's so I guess mother has enough pull to get the rules changed for her daughter
It's ridiculous that they went through the motions like they did. Why even bother posting it? They didn't have to. They could've just announced she was detailed there and there wouldn't have been a damn thing anyone could do about it. Big Surprise she got it...Seriously..what a joke.
This is a great site. Glad to see that at least some part of the CPD is Web-2.0 savvy. Keep it up! This is one of the more interesting blogs here in Chicago.
i never saw or heard that the job was posted and available
only mention that i heard was the co book entry that KT was "detailed" to the position
typical crap for that floor no one knows and the chosen are placed in the positions

Look are you really that surprised? Mommy works with J.A who is the acting deputy director. Mommy wanted her to get days on a cushy detail so she got it. This is exactly the sort of thing Shakman is suppossed to be working against.
