"What was she thinking?"

Yes, we browse the comments section, and we come across things like this:

Can anyone break my million dollar bill?

We assume that that person is talking about this story.

It may not be all that common, but don't police officers at least occasionally come across the need to write a worthless document/forgery case report? We may be civilians, but we believe that fradulent checks fall under the "Deceptive Practice" category. And we have no idea why a sworn officer would try to cash a fraudulent check for a large amount - 1 million dollars, no less - with no real worry about getting caught.

The officer maintains her innocence. But if she's guilty (we're not playing judge and jury here), the absurdity is astonishing.
