After midnight

We hope the 1st Watch personnel have their uniforms ready. Seems that some of them, in support of Da Bears, extended the "Casual attire as long as there's a Bears logo somewhere" decree to this a.m.

All watches were allowed to dress out of uniform, as long as they had on Chicago Bears apparel, for Sunday, 14January2007. It officially was to end at 0300 hours on Monday morning, at the end of 5th Watch. When 1st Watch people showed up in Bears apparel at roll call Sunday night (they work until 0600 hours), they were told by the Watch Manager, in no uncertain terms, that their services would no longer be required for the night if they were still out of uniform as of 0300 hours.

Will they be sent home without pay? Oops.

Before you start making fun of some who is a "marble mouth" why don't you learn how to spell a simple word like BRUTAL.

Brutel, brutal what ever, you got the point I was making. That guy cant handle any kind of activity on the air at all. Should not be on CW1.
And to who ever stated "W/M", go ahead and start pulling the race card to get off the subject.

WOA.... "W/M" at the OEMC is WATCH MANAGER not white male. Just like "W/C" for you is WATCH COMMANDER and not white cat. We are no longer part of the police department so they had to come up with new titles for the watch boss.

The CW1 dispatcher you are referring to IS brutal and usually spends most of his overtime walking around chatting with people. Used to be a time down there when part of the interview process was how your voice sounded. You only got hired if you could speak clearly. Guess that went out the window too...

Yes, the WATCH MANAGER (W/M) that night was MD and no, he didn't send anyone home. He had people working their day off so couldn't! Also, shame on the people who did wear their Bears attire and did NOT follow the rules and have a uniform in their locker.

Was there anything in the CO book allowing us to wear bears attire again....if there was then you know it will.

While on the subject of attire.

How come pregnant members can wear what ever sloppy clothing they want to? I seem to remember nice maternity clothing available in the stores. Not all leisure wear. Shouldn't "business attire" apply to maternity clothes too?

I agree. There are some pregnant women now and in the past who have dressed very nicely. And then there are the ones who wear jeans, jogging pants, gymshoes, giant old t-shirts, etc. I understand about being comfortable, and maybe having a hard time finding things that fit, but c'mon...you give the rest of us a bad name when you dress like a slob.

Also.......what about the folks who are in Civ Dress, not because they are pregnant, but because of some "medical reason". WOW!! A FEW of those folks look like CRAP!!!! Velour jogging outfits in every color of the rainbow and giant capes, or shawls, or whatever you want to call them... don't qualify as "Business Attire" in my book ! How about taking a look in the mirror before you leave the house!?
